Separate application Form must be submitted for courses offered by each department. Leaflet details of the Programmes, admission proceedings and Application Forms can be obtained in person on submission of Pay Order or Crossed Demand Draft of Rs 500/- drawn in favour of the “Director, Delhi College of Engineering” Payable at Delhi From the Reception Counter Administrative, Block, Shahbad Daulat Pur, Main Bawana Road, Delhi- 110042, on all working i.e. Monday to Friday 10.30 A.M. to 4.00 P.M. from 30.04.2009.
The request by post for the forms, accompanied by a Crossed Demand Draft of Rs 600/- (inclusive of Postal Charge) drawn in favour of “Director, Delhi College of Engineering” payable at Delhi, must reach the college latest by the dates specified below. Request for application form must indicate the applicant’s name, address, the course for which admission is sought and three self addressed silp of size 10cmx5cm. Application form and leaflet can also be downloaded from the College www.dce.edu and can be submitted to the College alongwith a draft of Rs. 500/-drawn in favour of “Director, Delhi College of Engineering” payable at Delhi.

Ph.D. Programmes:
Biotechnology and Medical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering (Including Instrumentation Engineering), Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Mining Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Humanities & Social Sciences (English, Psychology, Economics & Sociology).
M.Tech. (Research): All branches of Engineering, Science & Humanities & Social Science, Business Management
Eligibility: For M.Tech.:
The candidates should have B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc. or equivalent degree in the discipline as mentioned above with not less than 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in the qualifying examination. There is no relaxation in academic requirement for any category / caste of candidates.
The candidates appearing B.E. / B.Tech / M.Sc. (final semester) examination may also apply for the above course. However, they have to produce their mark-sheet showing 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 in aggregate latest by 30th September 2009, failing which their admission will stand cancelled. Such student must produce a certificate signed by the Principal or Registrar of the College last attended stating that all examinations including practical necessary for award of the degree have been completed in order to be eligible for admission.
For M.Sc.:
The candidate must have acquired B.Sc. degree with the subject applied for as one of the subjects (either in pass or Honours). Mathematics in +2 levels is compulsory for Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics branches.
For Ph.D.:
i) M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA (or 60% marks in aggregate) (or) at both B.Tech./(or M.Sc./ M.Pharm/ MCA) and M.Tech. levels OR
ii) B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Pharm/ M.Sc.(Basic Science )/ M.C.A. in relevant discipline with minimum CGPA 7.0 in a 10 point scale (or 65% marks in aggregate) OR
iii) M.B.B.S. with 6.5 CGPA (or 60% marks) OR
iv) M. Sc. /M.A. / MBA /M.Com. in Humanities or Social Sciences or Management with 6.5 CGPA ( or 60% marks).
For M.Tech. (Research):
i) B.E./B.Tech /B.Pharm /MCA/MBBS/ M.Sc. in Basic Science or Agriculture with at least 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks in aggregate. OR
ii) M.Sc./M.A./MBA/M.Com. in Humanities, Social Sciences or Management with 6.5 CGPA (or 60% marks)
Application procedure: For M.Tech. & M.Sc. Programmes:
Application form may be downloaded and the filled in application form be sent to “The Assistant Registrar (Academic), National Institute of Technology, Rourkela – 769008 (Orissa)” along with photo copies of relevant documents (attestation not necessary) and a non-refundable demand draft of Rs.300/-(Rupees three hundred only) in favour of Director, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, payable at any bank at Rourkela.
There is no provision for on-line submission of application form. The envelope containing application form should be superscribed by “Application for M.Tech/ M.Sc. ______________________department (Regular / Sponsored / Slow pace )”.
For Ph.D. & M.Tech. (Research) Programmes:
Interested candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria may apply in the prescribed form downloading from the Institute website www.nitrkl.ac.in . Application form is also available in the office of the Assistant Registrar (Academic) Admission to Ph.D. and M.Tech.(Research) is open throughout the year. The completed application form along with relevant documents should be sent to Assistant Registrar (Academic), National Institute of Technology, Rourkela – 769008. Application without relevant documents will be rejected.
