Walk-in-interview for engagement as aerodrome officer at RSP (Rourkela Steel Plant)
Rourkela Steel Plant invites retired personnel, fulfilling the eligibility criteria given below to
appear in the Walk-in Interview for engagement as Aerodrome Officer, on contractual basis, for its
Airport at Rourkela.
No. of Aerodrome Officer to be engaged – 01 (One)
Period of engagement – 03 (Three) years
Consolidated Fee – Rs.20,000/- per month
Benefits: Rent free accommodation, free medical treatment for self and spouse, 15 days Casual
Leave annually and reimbursement of Local Traveling Expenses as per rules are
admissible.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Age : Maximum age 70 years as on 30/04/2009.
Qualification : Must have completed the course on Aerodrome Control / Approach Control
from Civil Aviation Training College, Airports Authority of India, Allahabad,
OR equivalent course from a recognized Institute OR has served as an
‘Aerodrome Officer’ under the Airports Authority of India / Indian Air Force
Station with similar responsibility.
Experience : Should have experience in Air Traffic Control Services.
NATURE OF JOB TO BE PERFORMED:
Operation of Air Traffic Control for Rourkela Airport, coordination of aviation requirement
and the requirement of Airport for light operation. Coordination with different departments of
Rourkela Steel Plant including Communication Engineering Department for maintenance of Airport
equipment as well as the general upkeep of Aerodrome.
Training of the operating persons of RSP posted at Rourkela Airport and assisting for future
development of aviation establishment and facilities. To comply with all statutory requirements
concerning aviation, air safety and related matter.
GENERAL:
1. Selected candidate will be allowed to join on being found medically fit by the Company’s
Medical Board.
2. Outstation candidates shall be reimbursed 2nd (Sleeper) class single to & fro Railway fare / Bus
fare by the shortest route on production of original ticket(s), provided the distance covered by rail
or road is more than 30 kilometers each way.
3. Eligible candidates may walk-in for interview alongwith all relevant testimonials in original with
a set of photocopies showing proof of age, academic & professional qualifications, experience
etc., self attested and one recent passport size photograph duly attested by a Gazetted Officer on
the following date, time and venue.
